Why?

I created Life In Japanimation with the original intent of showing my friends and family back in the states my new life in Japan. Shortly after creating the site I decided to take it into a new direction, show not only my friends and family but as many people as I could.

Every picture I take and every post I make is with the intent of showing my point of view in life. The pictures I take are what I see and what I want to show to you.

My goal is to show the image how I took it not how I want to pretend I saw it. I feel the world is very beautiful and we all take it for granted at one time or another.

If I can just take 1 minute out of your day to show you what we all look over to often then I really feel I have done something good.

This is partly the reason I will not put watermarks on any of my photography. I want you the viewer to see everything I see. It’s true that someone might steal my work for their own but I will gladly take the risk. I think big named photographers often forget the meaning of being a nobody, caught up in a loop of condescension. This really can be applied to any form of art not only photography.

Ethnicity: Czechoslovakian, American

As stated above my name is Cornelius I live in Japan with my beautiful wife and 2 kids and I love it.

My background is in Network infrastructure and I’m working as a Network Systems Engineer.
I am half American half Czech and speak an arrange of useless languages including English.

I think cats are awesome but I no longer have any because they are to demanding and the kids need all my attention.
